There’s something insanely addictive about lining up shiny little gems into groups of three or more. Bejeweled 2 is as shiny as iPhone/iPod apps come. Every color is rendered brilliantly, and if you brush over one of the gems, it starts to twirl.

You can play in several different modes. On Classic, you have complete a certain number of combinations on each level, without running out of moves. If you line up four gems of the same color, you’ll get a super gem which can clear all of the others around it, and thus reset part of the board. If you’re lucky enough to lineup five, you’ll get a special orb, which will clear all gems of the same color – and you get to pick!
