The Hottest Spring 2025 Fashion Trends for Women

It's finally March, meaning the official start of spring is less than three weeks away. That's definitely worth celebrating, whether your favorite thing about spring is the warmer weather, more sun or the arrival of stunning spring fashions.

It's never too early to start rocking the next season's biggest trends. If you're wondering what's hotter than ever in 2025, just keep scrolling to discover our favorite looks and how to wear them this year.

Flared Jeans

Once he saw how great Kendrick Lamar looked in his flared jeans at the Super Bowl last month, it became obvious that the classic look was back, and we think it's only going to evolve as the year goes on. The style—wide at the foot, and tapered on the knee—looks great on men and women alike, and can be dressed up to make a fashion statement or down with sneakers for a sportier and more casual look. They can accentuate your legs and curves in all the right places, no matter how long your legs are, making you look like a rock star all spring long.

Sheer Pieces

At long last, the weather will be warming up enough for sheer looks, and we're eager to start wearing them again after seeing them all over the Grammys and Oscars red carpets. We love the unique textures they create and the versatility of their transparency, making them daring, but only as revealing as you want them to be with thoughtful layering. Whether you decide to go with a sheer top or accented dress, or even a floaty accessory like a headpiece or scarf, you can't go wrong.

Vacation Chic

It's felt like an extra long, extra chilly winter, so we're not at all surprised to see that everyone's been dreaming of resort vacations and chic, beachy fashions (and the new season of The White Lotus probably doesn't help). This includes everything from light and flowy resortwear to playful cut-outs, summery pops of color and even wearing bathing suits as part of everyday ensembles, paired beach and marine-themed accessories for good measure. Of course, you'll also need a pair of elegant sunglasses to complete the look–and protect your eyes.

Vibrant Hues to Beat the Blues

Of course, the arrival of spring doesn't mean blazing sun and 70° for many of us. But just because you're still wearing heavy and warm outerwear doesn't mean it has to be dreary. Lighten up the mood with vibrant and bright pops of color, injecting some fun back into the days you still have to bundle up. Think bold purples, yellows and pinks that go beyond the brightness of standard florals, plus eye-catching blues and even greens you'll want to wear well beyond St. Patrick's Day.

Iconic '80s-Adjacent Looks

While the loud powersuits of the '80s aren't exactly back in 2025, we're seeing plenty of looks that play homage to the decade, and we can't get enough. It's all about broad shoulders (with or without the help of shoulder pads), sharp edges and super bold silhouettes, pulling in accents that are unforgettable and iconic, but refined from their '80s counterparts. We also love unexpected patterns, including bold stripes and polka dots, and pairing them with big, voluminous hair makes them even better.

Over-the-Top Accessories

You know that fashion rule about removing one accessory before you leave the house? Leave that one behind this spring—and maybe throw on an even louder and more over-the-top piece, just because you can. This season is all about making a statement, whether your shoes and bags are covered in studs, spikes, jewels or even pins or patches. Try layering different kinds of unexpected jewelry in different textures and colors and wearing chain belts in new ways.

Prep School Pep

Academia aesthetics aren't going anywhere anytime soon, and we're seeing that ripple into the fashion world in full force with this season's elevated prep school looks. The staples aren't anything unexpected, from pleated dresses and skirts to sweater vests over collared skirts, plus letterman and varsity jackets for a sporty twist, yet they look sweeter than ever in 2025. Despite being inspired by your traditional school uniforms, it's truly anything but.

Luxe Flip-Flops

Flip-flops are no longer the beach bum shoes of the past. With more elevated and luxe brands, they're just as stylish and versatile as other sandals, while still providing the comfort and ease they always have. We're drawn to styles with low heels, playful colors and nicer materials, like leather and natural fibers. Pair them like they're nice heels with your favorite elegant looks to bring out a different character, and don't forget to pamper your feet and maintain your pedicure, since your toes will be on full display.

Sporty Streetwear

And finally, athleisure and sportswear are coming together in a big way this fashion season. The latest looks combine sporty pieces, including jerseys, sweatsuits and other athleisure staples, and combine them with baggy and casual streetwear for genre-defying ensembles. Unexpected accents elevate your typical athleisure styles for a look that's effortless as well as cool.
