Miley Cyrus Deleted All Her Instagram Posts, and We're Excited by What It Could Mean

Miley Cyrus has gone MIA… at least on Instagram.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer threw fans for a loop on Friday, July 13, when she deleted every post on her Instagram and website without offering any explanation.

Eagle-eyed Miley fans noted some photos began disappearing from the gram on Thursday, July 12, and by the following morning all of her snaps—yes, even the ones with her adorable beau, Liam Hemsworth—were completely gone.

Though we don't yet know why Miley chose to do a social media cleanse, that certainly hasn't stopped fans from coming up with a few plausible theories.

In fact, many fans think the Hannah Montana alum's decision to delete much of her social media presence means new music, and even a new era of Miley, is on the way. As Teen Vogue pointed out, other artists such as Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Zayn Malik have all said goodbye to their Insta snaps prior to releasing new music.

As a Twitter user who goes by the username @elevenamongste1 put it, "Give me this era PLEASE." The user also added "#MileyIsComing," which is currently trending on Twitter.

What's more? On June 26, the pop star also tweeted about meeting with mega-producer Mark Ronson, bolstering the theory that new Miley music is imminent.

Still, other fans think Miley's reason for purging her social media accounts might have something to do with an impending wedding to Liam. "Miley is getting married," a Twitter user who goes by the name @rashodcyrus shared.

Whatever the reason is, we hope to hear from Miley soon!
