Dressing up pets dates back to 520 A.D., when King Arthur of Great Britain had the military dogs dressed in protective clothing as a shield from attack and the environment.

These days, dressing up pets for Halloween isn’t uncommon. In fact, Americans were expected to spend $370 million on pet costumes last Halloween.

Pet costumes are on the rise. In 2012, there was 40 percent more spending on Halloween costumes for animals than in 2010!

The trend might have us spotting many a shark cat in the future, and we don’t see anything wrong with that!
