As of 9:11am PST today, December 21st, it’s finally winter! Today is the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year!
In the U.S., we consider today the first day of winter! In other countries, however, the winter solstice is considered the middle point of the season.
If there hasn’t been enough light during your day in the recent weeks, no need to worry. From today, the sun will be out for longer!
It will be winter until the vernal equinox, or first day of spring, on March 19.
