American Idol Season 11 Kicks Off With a Bang!

Last night, American Idol debuted it's 11th season by auditioning residents of Savannah, Georgia.

10,000 participants showed up to audition with the hopes of gaining fame and glory. The first one to walk through the doors left quite an impression quite a big impression for someone so young.

His name is David Leathers Jr., but he goes by "Mr. Steal-Your-Girl." The seventeen-year-old (who looks more like he just celebrated his 12th birthday) sang "Never Can Say Goodbye" by the Jackson 5.

David admitted in a chat with Ryan Seacrest that he has competed with last season's winner Scotty McCreery before he was famous – and won!! (McCreery came in a close second place)
