The 9 Beauty Products That Blew Us Away in 2017
With the amount of beauty products we try here at Sweety High, it really takes something special to stand out.
And while it might seem like we have an endless supply of highlighters and concealers on hand, only a few make the cut inside our beauty cabinets. Behold, the beauty products that totally, utterly, completely blew us away in 2017.
1. Dermaflash
We've mastered the cat eye and know our way around a contour palette, so the only real thing standing in the way of us having our beauty on point was that little white peach fuzz on our face! That is, until we discovered the Dermaflash tool, which in essence just shaves all the little peach fuzzies off in a flash. Needless to say, we're hooked!
2. Fenty Beauty MatchStix Concealers
Easily one of our favorite makeup launches in history, we still can't stop raving about all things Fenty Beauty by Rihanna. She launched 40 shades of foundation, which is unheard of, and really found a way to cover every skin tone. The Fenty Beauty matchstix concealers are creamy but still matte and are so easy to apply–they're going to be a staple in our beauty bags for years.
3. Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette
Too Faced is known for their cheeky approach to beauty. We've been known to collect a palette or two of theirs in the past, but nothing satiated our beauty senses like the new Too Faced Sweet Peach palette. This is a hit-the-pan product and we're so happy they expanded the line into blushes and glosses. Because let's be honest: Peach really does flatter everyone!
4. Glossier Body Hero
Glossier knows how to deliver a hit seller, hello Boy Brow, Haloscope and their Priming Moisturizer! But one new product launch really stood out among the rest: the Glossier Body Hero lotion and body wash. The smell is divine and the packaging is so cute, it really does just make you want to shower even on the laziest of mornings.
5. LUSH Face Mask
It's easy to say that we are LUSH obsessed and are always trying out their new products. Our fave this year is the 1,000 Millihelens Jelly Face Mask, which helps detoxify and soothe your skin.
6. Foreo Luna Go
The Foreo Luna Go face-cleansing tool goes deep into the hard-to-reach crevices of your skin. Paired with a dime-sized application of Starskin's Detoxing Sea Kelp Leaf Cleansing Foam, your face will be cleansed (and fresh-smelling) in no time. The travel-friendly contraption is the perfect size for tucking away into your luggage, and it isn't clunky at all!
7. OGK x Kandee Johnson Collab
We live in the days where collabs are a dime a dozen, but when one of our top drugstore brands teams up with one of our fave YouTubers, you know it's gonna be good! Kandee Johnson's collab with OGX was perfect for the holidays and we plan on using this stuff well into the new year.
8. Ouai Rose Hair and Body Oil
We are Ouai into all things Ouai, especially their Rose Hair & Body Oil! It's nice when products are a two-in-one, and this deliciously smelling oil is just as good for your strands as it is for your body.
9. Valjean Labs Facial Serum
If you're not using an oil in your skincare routine, what are you doing? You've got to get on board. Our fave is Valjean Labs Facial Serum that helps with hydration and radiance!
