Sounds exhilarating, right? The popular game has swept the nation, popping up in various forms and with creative themes.

Whether you're already hooked on these experiences or are just getting started, scroll below to see seven of the coolest escape rooms that we'd love to visit.

Breakout KC — Kansas City, Missouri

For starters, Breakout KC has been named number one escape room in the world. Breakout KC has four main experiences you can choose from, each 60 minutes long. The one we'd for sure try out is called The Breakout Hotel—you check into a 1970's hotel room… and let's just say, you want to check out as soon as possible. Usually only 35% of participants complete the task. Would you be up for it?!

The Great Houdini Escape Room at Palace Games — San Francisco, California

This escape room is held at the beautiful Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco and is full of rich history. Legend says that the great magician Harry Houdini built the first escape room inside the Palace of Fine Arts 100 years ago. He challenged eight genius innovators—Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, Henry Ford, Charlie Chaplin, John Philip Sousa, William "Buffalo Bill" Cody, Helen Keller and Luther Burbank—to enter the room filled with contraptions and escape within 80 minutes.
