Chime For Change Aims To Empower Women!
A new women's rights campaign called Chime For Change aims to make the lives of all girls and women better by empowering girls and spreading awareness of women's issues.
The foundation is sponsored by Gucci and is supported by celebrity activists including Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Meryl Streep so that these stories can be heard.
It's a foundation for everyone who speaks out for women's rights to come together and make their message even stronger.
The powerful message is relayed in the video. "The most powerful tool a women can have is her own education, health, justice. Three things to change the world."
One of the big ideas of Chime For Change is the use of social media to help spread the push to empower girls everywhere.
In Chime for Change's "It's Possible" mission video, Jada Pinkett Smith holds up her cell phone and asks "Who would have thought that a tiny device like this could be a weapon?"
A cell phone can be a social weapon to instigate change.
"If I feel strongly about something, the whole world will know in a matter of seconds," Katy Perry says in the video. With more than 35 million Twitter followers, she's not wrong.
Chime For Change is supported by Catapult, a site similar to Kickstarter, but with all of the projects dedicated to gender equality and women's rights.
Empowering girls can be as easy as a simple reminder that girls can accomplish anything they set their minds to.
"I'm telling my daughter every day, 'You know you can be president. You know it's possible.'" Beyoncé says. "And I know she has no idea why I'm saying that."
Decades from now, we may just see Blue Ivy Carter in the White House!
