Name: Chris Stanley
Home State: New Hampshire
Birthday: April 18
1. Chris considers himself quite the “gay”mer, and his favorite games are Runescape, Minecraft, Pokémon and Terraria.
2. He loves a good vegetable pizza.
“I typically enjoy veggie toppings on my pizza, such as peppers, onions, olives and mushrooms. I am also one of the least picky eaters you’ll ever meet, and I love trying new foods, but those are probably my go-to’s.”
3. His favorite weather is when it’s rainy, especially during thunderstorms.
“When I was younger, I used to go into my garage and just sit and watch it rain. I feel like it adds so much ambiance and vibes and makes me feel really cozy. There is definitely a reason why in movies and TV shows, they always want it to be raining during the most dramatic scenes. It really adds so
4. He considers himself a major night owl.
“I do not enjoy waking up in the morning. In fact I love to sleep in. Being
a night owl is dangerous, though, because I don’t want to mess up my sleep schedule (staying up too late) too much or I might have to pull an all-nighter to fix it (it’s happened to me a couple times).”
5. His current favorite style trend is seeing people wear a lot more jewelry.
“Gay men and women already wore jewelry quite a bit, but I love that straight men are less afraid to wear bracelets, pearl necklaces, rings, etc. I love that our generation is changing the norms and looking fantastic while we do it.”
6. One of his favorite fan encounters was with some fans he met in New York City.
“I interviewed them and first of all, they were hilarious and cracked me up. Second of all, they kept mentioning Madonna in the interview. Then after I edited the interview, not only did it go viral, but Madonna saw it and reposted it! The Madonna. I’m still shocked to this day. It’s almost
like some mystical force brought us together.”
7. If he could only buy his clothes from one place, he’d definitely pick some kind of state shop, such as Vans.
8. If he could pick anyone to be his mentor, it’d be Taylor Swift.
“I am a huge Swiftie and she is self-made and just such an amazing person. Her career is really just so well done. I would love to get advice from her.”
9. Blue is his favorite color.
“I feel basic saying it, because it’s the world’s No. 1 most favorite
color, but there is just something about it that makes me feel safe, I think. Maybe it coincides with the fact I love rain, and that I’m a fire sign (Aries) so I need a little water to keep my head cool.”
10. He used to collect Pokémon cards and has otherwise always been a collector of knick-knacks to help him remember the important events in his life.
“I always assumed everyone sort of did the same, but mine are a little strange. I’ll keep a bottle cap from a fun night, my favorite pencil that I used through my entire senior year of high school, a wine cork from the night I hit 100,000 subscribers, a letter my friend wrote me after she moved away, a gum wrapper with a little poem I wrote on it, a plane ticket from a specific place I traveled, the ticket stub from a great movie. Just a whole bunch of little random things like that. I also collect stickers and pins. Mainly anime stickers, but any TV series or pop culture moments that I like, I will buy stickers for. I have a huge tub of them in my house which I use to make sticker collages on my laptop cover or anything I want to decorate.”
11. Chris is more competitive than he might seem.
“When I do something, there is always this part of me that just wants to be the best. I think it’s a great trait to have because I am constantly evolving and trying to do even better things than I previously have done. Check up on me in a year and I’m sure you’ll be surprised and impressed at how much better I have gotten.”
