9 Self-Care Practices You Can Do Daily

When was the last time you did something for yourself?

If it's taking you a while to think of something, it's time to make a big change. It's so important to not only take care of our bodies, but our minds, too. Do you need some help finding a way to treat yourself? Keep scrolling for nine self-care practices you can do daily.

1. Block Out 5 Minutes to Meditate

Five minutes is no time at all, and even if you think you can't spare those few minutes—try! Block out at least five minutes of your day to meditate. It will relax and motivate you.

 

 

2. Make a Cup of Your Favorite Coffee or Tea

What do you look forward to in the mornings? For us, it's a steaming hot cup of joe. Treat yourself to your favorite coffee or tea every morning to start your day on a good note.

 

3. Drink a Glass of Water Right When You Wake Up

Remember to stay hydrated—it keeps you alert! It's super important to drink water when you wake up from a night's rest. We suggest drinking at least a glass right when you wake up.

 

4. Write Down 3 Things You're Grateful For

5. Get Your Body Moving

Even if you only go outside for 10 minutes, move your body each and every day. Whether it's a walk around the block, a yoga class or a gym sesh, your body will thank you.

Do you ever find yourself breathing strangely? Practice breathing exercises every day—it's good for your heart and mind health.

 

7. Make Your Bed Every Morning

The last thing some of us want to do in the morning is make our bed—after all, it took forever to get out of it! But trust us when we say this will be the perfect start to your morning.

 

8. Get Into a Morning and Nighttime Skincare Routine

Just because you're young doesn't mean it isn't time to start paying attention to your skincare routine. If you only want the basics, invest in a cleanser, moisturizer and SPF.

 

9. Get Enough Sleep at Night

If you find yourself feeling groggy in the mornings, chances are you're either not getting enough sleep or getting too much sleep. Find your balance!
