Demi Lovato Talks About BFFs Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez

Demi Lovato has been climbing the Billboard charts and according to the Nielsen Soundscan, her third album "Unbroken" is at No. 4 with 96,000 copies being sold.

While Lovato has been a chart topper before with "Here We Go Again" and "Don't Forget," Unbroken is a special achievement for her since it is the first album she has come out with since getting treatment.

"This one is a little different. I took a long time on this album, and I've been on such a journey over the past year that it just feels awesome to be able to release music that I've worked really hard on, and now that it's done well [on the chart] it feels even better," revealed the 19 year old actress turned singer.

While many of artists like Timbaland, Kelly Clarkson and Jason Derulo have given Lovato shout-outs for her amazing album on Twitter, Lovato reveals that the friends who have always been by her side through the tough times are the ones who stand out.

"I feel like there are some people that you're friends with that talk to you on Twitter or you text, but the people that are really there for me are the people that were there for me when I went into treatment. The people that were calling me while I was in there were Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez. Those two girls, they meant the world to me. They still do."

"Who's That Boy" is the next song Lovato plans to release as the second single off "Unbroken," and she's going to start on a music video for that soon. She loves how with this album she got the opportunity to work with a variety of different genres. "One of the best parts about making this album was that there wasn't anything holding me back, as in a genre of music. Ultimately it's pop, but I have songs that are really dance-like, songs that are more R&B, and songs like 'Skyscraper' that are not really R&B at all. And so it just depends on the song. I always love it when it turns into a house remix, like something you hear in the club, or something totally different. It just depends."

We love Demi's drive and passion! Sounds like she really knows what she wants and is going for it!
