Dog Loves Perfume- Video Pick Of the Day!
Benny the dog LOVES perfume. The scent seems to be driving him absolutely crazy- but why?
Dogs have super sensitive noses, because smell is just an important part of a dog's life.
The part of a dog's brain that is dedicated to helping them distinguish between different scents is 40 times bigger than that of a human being! Their ability to identify smells is anywhere from 1,000 to 10,000 times better than a human's ability!
Just by smelling where another dog marked its territory, a dog can figure out the other dog's gender, what they eat, and how they're feeling. Dogs can even figure out whether another dog is a dominant or submissive dog, just from their scent!
Another difference between dog noses and human ones is that we find different smells pleasant. What we might find to be the stinkiest of smells, dogs might love! The reverse is also true.
It seems that this Dior J'adore perfume, which is supposed to smell like Arabian jasmine and Indian tuberose, is a smell that both humans and animals can enjoy! We don't quite understand what scents are present when a dog loves perfume, but it sure is fun to watch!
