We Day Performers Forever In Your Mind Discuss How Charity Affects Their Lives

We Day California—a life-changing experience with renowned speakers and stellar performers—is only one day away.

We must admit, this year, the lineup is unparalleled. Although there are several groups we can't wait to see perform live, there's one in particular we're ecstatic to see hit the stage this year—one of our fave boy bands, Forever In Your Mind.

We had the chance to chat with Liam, Emery and Ricky to discuss this year's We Day and pick their brains about their upcoming projects. Scroll below to see what they had to say!

Sweety High: How did you get involved in We Day this year?

Liam: As a band, we love to give back and we love charity events and anything that has to do with helping people in need. We always try to search for different events that we can do throughout the year that are like this. We were drawn to We Day because of its success last year, and we saw how much it did for the community and kids in these schools and we knew we had to get involved.

Sweety High: Why do you think it's so important for young people in particular to get involved and make a difference in their communities?

Emery: It's important for people to get involved now because if we want to make change, we have to be different. We need to be the generation of children who are going to change this world for the better for our grandchildren or for our great great grandchildren. We've got to make sure we keep this world in check.

Sweety High: Growing up, were you involved in your communities in any way? How did you give back or volunteer?

Liam: My mom taught me and raised me to always give stuff that you no longer use to the poor. There are people who have way less than you. The shirt that may no longer fit you could make another child smile because they can't afford it themselves.

Ricky: My grandma has a lot of family in Mexico and a lot of my family actually does still live in Mexico. She has a lot of friends who don't have enough clothes to wear outside and a lot of their clothing is ripped and in poor condition. I remember giving all the clothes that I didn't actually wear anymore to them. It was awesome being able to give back those items to them and knowing it was going to a good place.

Sweety High: Who are you most excited to see perform at We Day?

Emery: I'm very excited to see Selena Gomez, I'm also very excited to see my friends Jack & Jack!

Liam and Ricky: Same!

Sweety High: Can you tell us about any projects you're working on?

Liam: On April 28, our single "Smooth" is coming out. It's our first single with our new and more mature sound that we're going for. We're really excited for it, it's going to be really cool.

We also have a video that we just shot and we're working on new music for our potential album and EP coming out later on in the year.

Ricky: Also, I just shot a movie that just came out: Bigger Fatter Liar. Don't forget to check it out.
