#GIRLHERO Campaign For International Day of the Girl!

Saturday, October 11, was the United Nation's International Day of the Girl. To celebrate, the U.N.'s GirlUp campaign encouraged girls across the world to post photos of their girl power inspirations on social media, tagged with #GIRLHERO!

Women across the nation listened! More than 12.5 thousand have taken part in this year's campaign, and tagged girls have paid it forward with their own #GIRLHERO posts!

Celebrities have also joined in on the campaign! Zendaya, Kat McNamara, Alli Simpson and more Tweeted: "Girls are powerful, and they deserve to be recognized."
