The Hottest Winter 2025/2026 Fashion Trends for Women
The official start of winter doesn't arrive until Dec. 21, but with the holiday season about to kick off, we're ready to embrace everything to do with the end of the year—including its fashion trends.
The nights are long and the winter is chilly, so we're dressing for winter whether it really is winter or not. Want to know what styles will be everywhere as we close out 2025 and jump into 2026? Read on to discover the top cozy trends and how to wear them this winter.
Winter Whites
The winter season and gorgeous whites (and off-whites) go hand in hand, whether or not you're expecting snow this season, and that will be especially true this time around. White gives off a clean impression that adds a touch of brightness to gloomy days and stands out even again a crisp, snowy backdrop while helping the wearer look more glowy and tanned, even if they haven't been getting as much sun. Plus, you can accent white in even more white or pops of color, metals and more.

Brash Burgundies
Burgundy is a fantastic hue for this time of year because it transitions perfectly from the autumn season to winter. In the fall, its rich color suggests the deepest reds of falling leaves, but in the winter, it takes on a royal feeling that evokes Mrs. Claus without being too blatantly Christmas-y. The hue will make you stand out in any crowd, and it's also super versatile. Wear burgundy on burgundy to make a big statement or pick out a focus piece, like a coat, a dress or a pair of pants, to proudly wear the color.

Cushy Faux Fur
When it's cold out, nothing helps us fend off the chilly weather quite like a big, fuzzy coat. Not only does it feel great to bundle up under lots of fluffy faux fur, but they look phenomenal, too. The oversized look is totally in this season, making these coats a bit like a security blanket you'll be happy to wear everywhere outdoors. Plus these days, you don't have to spend a lot to look like a million bucks.

Cozycore
Cozy is in, and we don't think that's going to change anytime soon. If you're not an outdoorsy type, you're probably going to gravitate toward loungewear and sweats to wear inside this season, and the best thing is that you can look good doing it. Whether you prefer the pieces fitted and sleek or baggy-chic, there are countless options in different materials as well as colors and styles to ensure that the look suits you, and that you'll look stylish—not lazy—wearing them.

Oversized Everything
As 2025 ends and we rush into 2026, bigger is better—especially when it comes to outerwear looks. Oversized coats and blazers are dominating the fashion scene, creating a bold silhouette and usually worn in an open, drapey way to showcase the contrast in size to the wearer's figure. They're designed to work in a flattering way, while still providing all the necessary warm when you need it most.

Metal-Accented Accessories
Winter means the arrival of end-of-year holidays, and if there's one texture we associate with both Christmas and the New Year, it's metallics—in particular, silver and gold. For winter, we love wearing these metals as accents on our accessories, from bags and jewelry to watches, hair accessories and even shoes, because of the touch of glamor and shine they lend to any piece. Whether you decide you only want subtle flashes of silver or gold on the hardware of your accessories or totally blinged-out pieces is entirely up to you.

Playful Polka Dots
It's time to stop thing of polka dots as a warm-weather pattern, because with the right color schemes and structure, they're just as appropriate for the winter season—and maybe even more fun. Polka dots always provide a playful feel, and for winter, we're drawn to styles with more subdued colors and dot sizes that lend an air of sophistication and casualness.

Grandpa Loafers
Before the start of 2026, every fashionista should have a cool pair of grandpa loafers in her shoe collection. There's a timelessness to this sleek and classic look, adding old-school flair to an outfit without making it feel outdated, and we can already tell the style if going to stick around for a while. Even better, the shape and support makes these shoes quite comfortable to walk around in, without squeezing your toes.
