4. Theme Your Party

If you're over the classic golds, silvers, blacks and whites of traditional New Year's celebrations, consider giving this year's New Year's party a theme. Maybe you can have a costume party, a winter wonderland-themed New Year's bash or even have an ultra-comfy pajama party. Brainstorm with friends to find the theme you'll all love most.

5. Decorate with Disco Balls

We think disco balls are the perfect decoration for the new year. From disco ball balloons to cake toppers, themed cups and even shimmery silver outfits, your guests won't get enough of the disco ball decor.

6. Silver and Gold New Year's Confetti

There's a reason that metallic confetti is a staple for celebrating the start of a new year. Fun and festive confetti looks amazing scattered over your dessert table or apple cider bar cart—or time a confetti drop for when the clock strikes midnight to really ring in the new year.

7. New Year's Headbands

Is it really New Year's without the cheesy headbands message? A shiny crown is a classic New Year's tradition. Plus, headbands are way cuter than plain old paper party hats.
