Take an Extra Day Off
Without a doubt, the most difficult thing about coming back from vacation is finding the time to organize. From unpacking to doing laundry, to grocery shopping and other chores, there's so much to get done! That's why we recommend taking an extra day off after you get back from your vacation. Not only will you be able to beat jet lag and sleep in, but you can relax and rest easy knowing nothing pressing at school or work is calling your name. And if taking an extra day off isn't an option, it's not the end of the world. Just remember to go easy on yourself!
Ease Back Into Your Routine
After coming home from vacation, whether you took a car, train or plane, is always somewhat of a shock. That's why it's important to ease back into your routine. What do you normally do when you're home? Read a book? Clean your room? Hang out with friends? Cook? Whatever it is you do normally, be sure to slowly ease back into it. If you do it all at once, that's when the vacation blues set in. So be sure to take it easy.
Get a Sweat Sesh In
Even though we're sure it's the literal last thing you want to do, getting your body moving will make you feel a million times better. Exercise is good for both your mind and your body, and when you're trying to reset after a vacation, getting a sweat sesh in will do wonders. Whether you go on a walk around the neighborhood or hit up the gym, trust us when we say your body will thank you!
Make a Healthy Meal
We don't know about you, but when we go on vacation, we don't tend to follow a super healthy diet. Whatever we want, we get! So instead of sticking to your unhealthy diet of burgers, fries, pizza or whatever it is you were eating, opt for something with more nutritional value. And the absolute best way to do this is by cooking yourself at home. When you cook from the comfort of your own home, you have so many delicious options to choose from, so get cookin'!
