Last night, Shawn Mendes made his late night television debut with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

During the show, he put on two gorgeous acoustic performances and acted in a hilarious skit!

In addition to playing “Show You” and “Life Of the Party” in front of the audience, Shawn also appeared in a sketch about Vineyl, the fictional first-ever Vine album!

Jimmy Kimmel explains that Shawn got his start on Vine, and that through his work on the platform, he got a record deal, and his first single, “Life Of the Party,” was so popular it debuted at #1 in iTunes!

However, Jimmy goes on to say that starting on Vine made recording an album a little tricky. That’s why Vineyl is an album consisting of 100 hit song covers by Shawn in 6.5 second pieces, just like Vines!

We’re so proud of Shawn, and are sure that he gained tons of new fans last night with his perfect performances!
