Justin Bieber: King Of The Charts
As the year comes to a close, it is time for the Recording Industry Association of America to announce its album and single certification awards. It was a dismal year for the recording industry, with overall album sales down 13 percent. But a few of our favorite stars were still able to do well in 2010.
Justin Bieber topped the list, earning the double-platinum plaque by selling over 2 million copies of My World. The Glee Volume 1 soundtrack also earned a platinum title.
Also worth mentioning is French pop act Phoenix, earning a gold plaque for their album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, which sold over 500,000 copies. Ke$ha's debut album, Animal, contained four hit singles, including the double-platinum song Tik Tok.
