Also be sure to enter our District 14 contest here to win amazing Hunger Games prizes!

The highly awaited sequel to The Hunger Games, Catching Fire releases on November 22, so this is the perfect Halloween to dress as our favorite super-fierce heroine this season, Katniss!

To start, ThinkGeek has an awesome replica of Katniss' jacket available for $99. The jacket is not just the key to making the Katniss costume work, but it's also a highly functional windbreaker with chillier weather just around the corner!

The second piece is a simple long-sleeved black shirt, which you're likely to own already. If not you can easily find one at shops like Forever 21 and H&M for less than $10.

Next, you'll need a pair of brown cargo pants. We opted for this slim style by Adriano Goldschmied, but any old pair of brown or green cargo pants will do for this look!

Next up, you'll need the perfect pair of boots! We picked a Steve Madden "Troopa" boot in a dark brown leather. They look just like Katniss'. Plus, when Halloween's over, you're left with a really cute pair of boots!

Last but not least, you'll have to pick up Katniss' signature bow are arrow. Toys R Us should have a few different options depending on the look you're going for.

And if you need help with Katniss' awesome braids, check out the amazing tutorial below by Cute Girls Hairstyles. They  consulted Linda Flowers, the lead hair stylist for The Hunger Games, just to get the style exactly right!
