Did you know that studies have been conducted to figure out how watching cute videos affects people's behavior? Scientists in Japan did a study titled "The Power of Kawaii: Viewing Cute Images Promotes a Careful Behavior and Narrows Attentional Focus."

Kawaii is a Japanese word meaning "cute," and refers to images and videos that are popular "because they produce positive feelings," according to the study.

The study says that cute things are generally baby-like in nature, which holds very true for this baby squirrel! Those traits include "a large head relative to the body size, a high and protruding forehead,[and] large eyes"

The study concluded that people played the board game "Operation" better after looking at kawaii images! The cute photos made the viewers more "tender" during the game. Who knew?
