Lolo ZouaÏ Reflects on Her Dreams and Reebok's 'Life Is Not a Spectator Sport' Campaign

Are you an active participant in the world?

That's the main question being asked by Reebok and their new "Life Is Not a Spectator Sport" campaign, which aims to inspire us all to go after what ignites our passions, celebrate our own individuality and really participate in our communities, and the world as a whole.  The campaign also involves a number of notable stars, famous for being anything but ordinary, including the French Algerian singer-songwriter (and Sweety High favorite) Lolo Zouaï.

In a video for the campaign, Lolo shares her own recipe for success, which includes finding the peace that exists within chaos. After all, she describes chaos as the space where she actually thrives best. "I like chaos," Lolo explains in the video—and we can see how embracing that idea has allowed her to become absolutely unforgettable.

But Lolo hasn't always been so fearless with her approach, as she explained to us.

"I've always known what I wanted to do with my life, but at the beginning of my career, I was shy and had bad stage fright," Lolo told Sweety High. "The best thing that ever happened to me as an artist was realizing that rejection was unavoidable and that letting go of the fear of failure was the only way I'd succeed. People will always tell you your dreams are crazy until they come true, and then who's the crazy one?"

We happen to think that's some incredible advice for anyone who feels like they might be watching the world from the sidelines. With this campaign, Reebok is returning to its roots and the "Because Life Is Not a Spectator Sport" slogan of 1984. And Lolo isn't the only star empowering us to all pursue what keeps us going. The campaign also features everyone from former pro basketball player and Hall of Famer Allen Iverson to Nigerian singer-songwriter TEMS to rapper Ghetts, Venezuelan artist Arca and singer-songwriter Brent Faiyaz.

Also front-and-center in the campaign is Reebok's iconic Classic Leather, a timeless design that will be so cute for this year's spring/summer season. Just like Lolo and the rest, the shows manage to make a mark by being anything but bland. Prepare to see them everywhere this year.
