Lorde Is Musical Supervisor For Mockingjay Part 1!

Lorde may have already been featured on a Hunger Games soundtrack, but this time around she's taking charge as musical supervisor for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1!

Not only will Lorde be singing the lead single for the next film in the Hunger Games franchise, but she'll also be working closely with film director Francis Lawrence to curate the movie's soundtrack!

Lorde has admitted that she is a massive fan of the Hunger Games series. It's fitting that she'll be selecting all of the music this time around, providing the perfect musical ambiance to the dystopian thriller!

"Her immense talent and keen understanding of Mockingjay's characters and themes not only had enabled her to create a song of her own that completely captures the film's essence," Francis Lawrence said, "but her insight and passion for our project make her the perfect creative force to assemble the other songs on our soundtrack."

Lorde's version of the 1985 classic "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" was on the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. We can't wait to hear her sing in the sequel!

Mockingjay: Part 1 debuts in theaters across the country on November 21, 2014, but we hope we'll be able to hear some of the music before then!
