Louis Tomlinson Says a One Direction Reunion Will Happen at Some Point
Don't count One Direction out just yet!
Though the wildly popular boy band disbanded about three years ago following a "hiatus," former 1D member Louis Tomlinson recently revealed he expects to reunite with his band members at some point in the future.
In a new interview with The Sun's Dan Wootton, Louis was optimistic about the possibility of the band getting back together.
"You know, we're all just enjoying our time, but for me, there's no way with a band like One Direction that it's not going to happen again—it's just impossible to say when," he explained when asked about the likelihood of a reunion.
Although encouraging, Louis' comments come at a time when there seems to be a mountain of evidence indicating that a One Direction reunion just isn't in the cards—at least no time soon. Band member Liam Payne has hinted that a reunion would be a logistical nightmare, telling The Daily Star last year, "I don't know how we would do it," and that's just the tip of the bad news iceberg.
Last month, radio host Nick Grimshaw, who is very good pals with onetime One Direction member Harry Styles, shattered fans' hopes of a reunion when he said there was "not a chance" the fivesome would join forces again.
Still, for his part, Harry himself seems a bit more hopeful about the prospect of reuniting with his pals.
"It's something I would never rule out doing," he told Dan Wootton last year. "Right now, everyone's getting a chance to explore the things they want to try and it's really cool to see what they're coming up with when it's just them alone in the studio writing."
