Happy Make A Gift Day: 3 Ideas For Adorable Homemade Gifts!
Today is Make A Gift Day! The holidays are quickly approaching, so we're sharing a few of our favorite homemade gifts from the web that you can easily make at home, including reindeer fudge, kitchen chalkboards and popcorn snowman cups!
Reindeer Fudge (Adapted from MomLid's Musings)
Make homemade fudge in a round baking dish, cut into triangular pieces, like a pie, and adorn with google eyes and a red bead to button or puffball, with an optional colored ribbon, to transform it into a reindeer!
Don't know how to make fudge? Follow the simple recipe below!
- 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- A round glass baking dish
Place all ingredients into a big, microwave-safe bowl. Heat on high for 3 to 5 minutes, or until chips are melted, stopping occasionally to stir. Once finished, pour the mixture into your round greased baking dish and refrigerate until it settles!
Kitchen Chalkboard (Adapted from Anderson Grant)
Take a normal clipboard and paint it with chalkboard paint! The resulting board can be written on with chalk or neon dry-erase markers. Hot-glue a long magnet strip across the top of the board to make it stick to the fridge!
Popcorn Snowman Cups (Adapted from Creative Kid Snacks)
This super simple idea is also incredibly adorable! Start off with clear plastic cups. Using orange and black markers, draw a triangular orange carrot nose and black coal eyes and a mouth, and wrap a red ribbon around as a scarf. Next, pop up some popcorn (for microwavable, stop the microwave when there's more than a 2 second pause between pops!) and fill up the cups!
