Mermade's Ionic Blow Dry Brush Is Our Favorite Hair Tool
One of my favorite feelings in the world is walking out of a hair salon with a fresh blowout.
But since I can't do that every week, I've had to figure out how to give myself a salon-worthy blowout from home. That's where Mermade comes in. The brand sent me their latest innovation, the Blow Dry Brush, and after trying it out for myself, I can safely say it's one of my favorite hair tools ever. Keep scrolling to find out all about the brand, the blow-dry brush and for my full review of the product itself!
Mermade Hair is definitely most known for its waver tools, which you've probably seen all over your Instagram feed. I've tried out the waver for myself and love it. It creates a gorgeous wave that you can only accomplish with the tool itself. And ever since the brand broke the internet with the waver, they've expanded into even more products, like the blow dry brush!
Mermade Blow Dry Brush: $69
At the end of a workday, I'm typically pretty beat. From working all day to hitting the gym and cooking, I usually don't set aside a lot of extra time to do my hair. On the nights I wash my hair, I typically twist it into a bun and sleep on it wet, waking up with wavy hair. This is fine for an everyday type of 'do, but it's pretty obvious not a lot of effort was put in. So, on the days I do put in the effort with my hair, I'm always sure to set aside a good chunk of time.
My first time trying out the Mermade Blow Dry Brush went way better than I was expecting. I'm not a master when it comes to blowdrying my hair and was shocked at how easy the process was. Using ionic technology, the dry brush combines the likes of a blow dryer and a round brush, making it easy for those of us who aren't hair pros.
The first thing I noticed was the weight. If I'm using a normal blow dryer, I find myself constantly having to take breaks and giving my arm a break. But with the Blow Dry Brush, it felt so much lighter and easy to manage.
After getting out of the shower and letting my hair air dry for about an hour, I took to the Blow Dry Brush. Starting with the bottom section of my hair, I got to work. Grabbing a few inches of hair at a time, I'd brush my hair from the root to tip, giving it a twirl so that it ended in a bouncy look. I repeated this process with every piece of hair, working my way up to the top layer. The end result was super voluminous hair, and after taming it a bit with a brush, I fell in love with the results.
Since I have longer hair, it took me about 40 minutes my first time. But after using it on subsequent days and even as a touch-up on in-between days, that time was cut in half. I love that this product can be used for both wet and dry hair, as well as pretty much any hair type. Whether you have pin-straight hair or super curly locks, the Blow Dry Brush will absolutely work for you. My favorite part of the product has to be how it looks on my vanity—it's pink and doesn't take up too much space.
If you're in the market for a round brush and blow dryer duo, I couldn't recommend this Blow Dry Brush from Mermade enough. The price is way lower than luxe brands like Dyson and is made with better quality than brands you'd find at a drug store. Seriously, this will blow you away!
