Miley Cyrus Fights To Save A "Magical Place"
Miley Cyrus is known for standing up for what she believes in and her fight to save the Phillip Island farmland from being ruined due to a major housing development is yet another cause she is putting her celebrity name behind to support.
Miley's boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, lives near the area and so she feels a special connection to the area. Therefore, Miley has decided to launch a campaign to fight against the decision made by the Baillieu Government and save the land.
Miley took to Twitter to share her disappointment with her 2.5 million Twitter followers.
"Phillip Island is such a magical place, it would be a shame to see it change #REALLIFEFERNGULLY," Cyrus tweeted yesterday.
The Government insists that it won't be ruining the magical place.
"It's fantastic that Ms Cyrus recognises the beauty of Phillip Island, and the Government can assure her that it has no intention of spoiling the natural landscape of this unique area," said Mr Guy's spokesperson, Bronwyn Perry.
However, the town is still fighting for the land and claims that the Coalition does not understand the importance of Phillip Island.
"I'm hoping the weight of opinion now that Hannah Montana has stepped in will persuade the Premier to have a rethink," said opposition planning spokesman Brian Tee.
