10 Big Things Happening in Music the Week of Sep. 18, 2020

One of the upsides to being in quarantine is actually having the time and energy to listen to new music.

Instead of having music playing in the background while you're in the car or out with friends, these days, you can actually sit down and really ruminate. 1. Kygo Releases Remix of Donna Summers' 'Hot Stuff' + Music Video

Not only did Kygo create an incredible version of the hit classic, "Hot Stuff," but he also worked on a video featuring everyone's favorite real-life couple from the Netflix original Outer Banks. John B and Sarah Cameron, AKA Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline, show off their adorable and flirty dancing skills, making us want to get up and dance to Kygo's latest creation. This song is definitely going to be on everyone's party playlist this fall.

2. B.o.B Releases Music Video for 'Dirt'

Six-time Grammy nominee B.o.B. just dropped his latest album, Somnia, last week. It's pretty clear that fans were excited about the release, because within the first 24 hours, there were already over one million streams. Today, he gave fans even more with the unveiling of the music video for his popular track, "Dirt". The video takes place at a "twerk camp" of sorts, and we're sure it's only going to gain more traction from here.

3. GRAMMY Museum Launches Official Streaming Service COLLECTION:live

We all know of the prestigious Grammy Awards, so isn't it about time its greatest stars came up with their own platform? Well, the wait is officially over with GRAMMY Museum's launch of the official streaming service, COLLECTION:live. The platform will host original artist interviews, live streams and special performances. It's set to feature artists including Billie Eilish, Selena Gomez, Glass Animals and more.

4. Phil Good Releases Single and Music Video for 'Falling'

If you're unfamiliar with singer-songwriter Phil Good, let us put him on your radar. He just released the breakup-inspired song, "Falling," and it's already proven to be a hit. The music video itself was shot during quarantine and is actually quite fun to watch.
