The Top 5 Unforgettable Moments From P1Harmony’s MOST WANTED Show in Chicago

by Tayah Fox

On Aug. 9, fast-rising K-pop boy group P1Harmony launched their third and most extravagant world tour yet in Seoul. Their MOST WANTED World Tour represents a pivotal moment in the ensemble's career with its larger venues, stunning special effects and fiery performances.

As the boys traveled throughout North America, they brought the heat to stages across the continent, including Chicago's United Center on Oct. 14, where they met their most passionate crowd yet. Sweety High had the chance to be a part of this lively audience, experiencing the band's dedication to putting on a memorable performance. In case you couldn't be there yourself, here were some of the standout moments from P1Harmony's MOST WANTED concert in Chicago.

AMPERS&ONE Warm Up the Stage

In the K-pop scene, it's rare to witness opening acts at concerts. This tour is an exception, with P1Harmony's labelmates AMPERS&ONE hitting the stage before each show. Although they weren't headliners, the seven-member group (Kamden, Brian, Jiho, Siyun, Mackiah, Kyrell and Seungmo) received a roaring reaction, comparable to those often received by the main act. Their set began with the song "That's That," followed by "Broken Heart." The group then paused to engage with the crowd, introducing themselves and offering gratitude for the enthusiastic greeting. To conclude their act, AMPERS&ONE performed two additional songs, "Whip It" and "Kick Start," getting the fans pumped up for the night's main show.

A Stellar Arrival

As the lights dimmed, a cinematic space-themed VCR starring P1Harmony aired on the stage's large screens. The band, draped in futuristic, metallic silver attire, showcased their incredible superpowers as they voyaged through space. Then, with an explosion of fireworks, the sextet burst onto the stage with a high-energy performances of "Black Hole," "End it" and "Look At Me Now." This trio of songs laid the groundwork for the concert's lively atmosphere, doubling as a display of their extensive preparation for this tour.

Solo Stages

One of the many beauties of P1Harmony is the members' distinct charms. When their talents are combined, it creates a dynamic range of music and performances—but once separated, they give us the opportunity to recognize the unique talents each individual contributes to the band. With the solo stages presented on this tour, each of the six boys succeeded in displaying their distinctive qualities.

JIUNG kickstarted this showcase with a dazzling rendition of "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars—flaunting his bright smile and indicating his love for the stage. KEEHO came next, embodying his alter ego while donning a chic black fur coat and oversized shades for a hip cover of Rihanna's "Phresh Out the Runway." SOUL exhibited his fluid dance moves in a striking choreographic piece, establishing his title as the group's main dancer. INTAK followed suit with his impressive dance skills as he sang along to Usher's "Good Kisser," highlighting the various dance styles within this group. Next was JONGSEOB, who glided across the beat of "Sticky" by Tyler the Creator in a display of his love for rap music. To conclude the cover stages, THEO, with guitar in hand, called on P1ECES to assist with his version of "What's Up" by 4 Non Blondes. With his fans actively engaged, he let loose during an exhilarating guitar solo, marking an exciting end to the band's solo stages.

Celebrating a Milestone Achievement

P1Harmony reached new career heights with the release of their first English EP, EX. Debuting on the Billboard 200 at No. 9 for two consecutive weeks, this placement marks their highest Billboard ranking to date. The group could hardly contain their excitement regarding this career milestone before performing two popular tracks from the mini-album. Starting with the mellow sounds of "Stupid Brain," KEEHO urged audience members to switch off their minds to tune into the calming melody of the track. Contrary to the previous song's soothing vibe, the next act,  the title track "EX," triggered an energetic performance resembling a celebration of the group's continuous success.

Encore

After leaving the stage, P1ECE were encouraged to showcase their dance moves to various P1Harmony songs to "charge" their spaceship's system and get the band back to the stage. One by one, fans—and even AMPERS&ONE—raised the energy  with their brief dance covers. Once the system reached maximum charge, a casually dressed P1Harmony returned to the stage for one last set featuring "Dancing Queen," "SAD SONG," "Killin' It," "AYAYA" and "Last Call." As the members bounced around the stage with glee, they graciously expressed their love for their fans and career. This exact sentiment radiated through each performance that night, leaving fans anticipating their next visit to the Windy City.
