RÓEN Beauty meets all of our standards. Born in 2019, RÓEN was made for those who prioritize clean beauty and who don't want to skimp out on anything else, like quality, artistry and more. We wanted to dive deeper and find out more, so we spoke with RÓEN CEO and co-founder, Tiffany Thurston Scott, all about the brand. Keep reading for the full interview!

Sweety High: Who is RÓEN for?

Tiffany Thurston Scott: RÓEN is for everyone! When I created RÓEN, the vision was to introduce a brand that could be used by everyone from makeup beginners to professional makeup artists. I've always loved luxe beauty products and I have a passion for health and wellness, and RÓEN is an expression of that. Our products are great for quick and effortless everyday use and also for having fun and creating high glam looks.

 

SH: What clean ingredients are found in your products? What are the benefits?

TTS: Each time we create a new product, I review different ingredients with our chemists through the product development process to ensure we select the very best ingredients possible. We always use ingredients that are not harmful and also give the best product performance. For example, our Cake Mascara ($28) uses carnauba wax, a high performance, vegan ingredient, and olive oil for its nourishing and hydrating benefits. It's important to me that every RÓEN product is clean with high performance and I will only create products that meet both of these standards.

 

SH: What harmful ingredients are never used?

TTS: Our products meet EU standards for ingredients, which are the strictest standards of clean beauty. In the U.S., only 12 harmful ingredients in cosmetics are banned, whereas the EU bans more than 1,300. RÓEN is of course free from parabens, animal cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny Approved. We are part of the Responsible Mica Initiative, an effort to ensure that any mica being used is from carefully selected raw material manufacturers and 100% ethically-sourced.

 

 

SH: What's your best-selling product?

TTS: Our eyeshadow palettes ($42) are our hero product and sell the most. I would say this is because of the innovative formula that is in between a cream and a powder and gives a unique sparkle-glow effect. It's fun to apply the different shades with your fingers to get the look you like.

 

SH: Which product(s) should girls try from RÓEN?

TTS: I would say our 11:11 palette ($42) because of the soft sparkle and versatile shades that have a natural and effortless look. Definitely Universal Disco ($29), which can be worn alone for a chic sparkle or on top of your favorite eyeshadow to add a wow factor. Plus, our Kiss My Liquid Lip Balm in the shade Remi ($26), it's a stunning glossy nude that has a natural dewy look that I think is beautiful. The shade Charlie is also fun and has a little more color!

 

SH: What's your price range?

TTS: Our products range from $26 to $42.

 

SH: Anything else we should know?

TTS: Clean beauty is something that is close to my heart. I grew up in Utah near the mountains and have always had an appreciation for health and what I put in my body. After moving to Los Angeles I fell in love with the glamorous vibe and wanted to create a clean beauty line that has both truly clean yet glamorous products. I believe what you put on your skin is equally as important as what goes into your body. Girls are very educated and savvy these days about the products they use and don't want to worry that they are putting toxic ingredients on their skin.
