Guide for Young Actors

The Screen Actors Guild has created a website to showcase the talents of their youngest members. To celebrate, SAG hosted an indoor carnival and invited over 450 youth. The shiny new site has tons of resources for current and aspiring young performers.

There's a handbook, a handy glossary, online resources, and downloads galore. Does your drama teacher want you to ad-lib a scene? No sweat. You've already learn from the Guide that to ad-lib means: "Extemporaneous performance delivery without relying on a prepared script, also called Improvisation."

There's also an interactive diagram of how a set typically looks. You can click on the various people to learn more about their jobs (like the on set teacher who's there just to help with assignments!)
