Taylor Swift started making music at the age of 12, and she says it alienated her from friends her own age. According to Taylor, she's never been popular, and her popularity actually decreased after becoming famous!

"In middle school and junior high, all my friends ditched me so I was really lonely," says Taylor. "I was doing different things at the weekend so I wasn't part of the gang anymore. I just wanted to play shows and I think it got really irritating to them. It's weird – I thought I'd have so many more friends now but I feel like I'm less popular than I've ever been. My best friend is Abigail and we've been friends since I was 15."

There's also a best friend named Abigail mentioned in Taylor's single "Fifteen." Could it be the same girl?
