5 Ways to Feel Productive During Your Spring Break

Spring break season is officially upon us. Sadly, not all of us are lucky enough to take a beach vacation to Florida or California. But that said, you can still use your week off to feel productive and reset from your burnout.

Below, discover five activities to make the most of your seven days of do-nothing.

Social Media Detox

Thanks to social media, we know a little too much about everyone and everything. Inevitably, it gives many of us impostor syndrome—or the feeling that we aren't doing enough to get by. It's especially difficult when you're at school or work, unconsciously keeping tabs on your peers. During spring break, you get to take a break from seeing people in real life. Don't be afraid to unplug from the virtual world too.

Open a Book

When school is in session, you may feel so swamped with reading assignments you don't want to leisurely pick up a book. Since you won't have to think about pesky homework assignments during spring break, this is the perfect time to indulge in a book of your choice, whether its romance or fantasy. The possibilities are endless!

Go Outside

It's mid-March and might even be mid-April before you have your spring break. The weather is considerably better than it was in January and February. Enjoy the clear skies and warm temperatures by spending time in nature. Maybe, you'll have your first trip of the year to your local park, or you can go hiking at a nearby nature preserve. After all, it's only a matter of time before it becomes sweltering hot outside.

Spring Cleaning

So far, we've pretty much only mentioned "fun" ways to feel productive during spring break. However, there's always the more traditional chores—they call it spring cleaning for a reason. With a week away from work and school, you have all the time to replace your winter wardrobe with spring and summer. Then, you can clean your bathroom and bedroom, which has probably been piling up since the beginning of the semester.

Catch Up With Your Friends

If you've been inundated with school activities and work, you probably haven't had any time to chill out with your closest friends. Dig around to see who's available on spring break. You can catch up with them to see what you've missed over the past couple of months.
