The Bird is The Word

Olivia Bouler, an 11-year-old artist, is doing her part to help rescue the birds that have been affected in the Gulf Oil Spill. She has taken her love for the animal and her artistic ability, and has begun painting birds to raise donations that go directly to The Audubon Society.

Olivia's efforts have inspired many, so much so, that AOL got involved. The two are now partnering up to spread the word of Olivia's birds.

"Olivia Bouler believes that one person can make a difference, and it's inspired her passionate response to the situation in the gulf," said Maureen Sullivan, AOL's head of marketing. "After hearing about Olivia's efforts to support Audubon's work and the wildlife in the gulf region, we became inspired by this young artist and her creativity."

AOL's partnership with Olivia has supplied Audubon with more than $130,370 in donations, including the $25,000 AOL donated in her name.
