The Giver Trailer Includes Taylor Swift Easter Egg!

A new trailer is out for the film The Giver, based on the 1993 novel of the same name by Lois Lowry, and it appears that Taylor Swift has a small role in the upcoming motion picture!

The world presented in The Giver appears to be perfect. There is absolute conformity, and everyone seems happy.

But this happiness is a facade. Society has taken away the freedom to make their own choices or be different from others to create the "Sameness." There is no war, pain and suffering, but there is also no love, choice or knowledge.

Society wasn't always like this, and it's up to the Receiver of Memory to learn the ways of the past to keep the present society's perfection.

It's time for a young boy named Jonas to become the new Receiver of Memory of take on the memories of the previous receiver, known as The Giver. But will Jonas be able to accept his newly acquired knowledge and maintain what this Society has worked so hard to work for?

The film stars Oscar winners Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges, as well as Australian newcomer Brenton Thwaites. If you play close attention to the trailer, you will also spot a brunette Taylor Swift as Rosemary!

Rosemary is a character who brings back pained memories for The Giver. But we won't spoil the story for those who haven't yet read the book!
