The 5 Most Emotional Signs of the Zodiac
There's nothing wrong with being emotional. Some people experience their feelings much more strongly than others, and while this pertains to more challenging emotions of anger and sorrow, it also applies to their joy and enthusiasm. They have a lot going on in their hearts, and that can be both a strength and a weakness.
If you're someone who follows astrology, chances are that you've already thought up a zodiac sign or two that tend to fall within that category. We, too, find that one element dominates our list of the zodiac signs with the most emotional personalities below.
Aries (March 21 – April 19)
We're kicking things off with the first sign of the zodiac, Aries, known for its impulsive and action-oriented nature. It's also the first fire sign, which makes sense, because Aries really are as fiery and passionate as it gets. They have hot tempers and are easily upset by even small slights. They're prone to flying off the handle, holding nothing back when tensions run high. However, this strong emotional response is usually temporary, and once they've cooled off, they're just as quick to apologize and forgive.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
Cancer's moodiness is one of their most famous traits, and we don't think it's an exaggeration to say that they're the most emotional of all 12 of the signs of the zodiac. In fact, all of the water signs are known for their sensitivity, but Cancers seem to take this to the next level with their someone unpredictable moods. Many attribute this to the fact that Cancer is ruled by the moon, which waxes and wanes throughout the month as it goes through it phases. They feel everything strongly, and their deep understanding of these emotions makes them more empathetic than just about anyone. They're no stranger to complex feelings, which gives them a rare insight into others' minds.
Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22)
On the surface, attention-loving Leos seem to have it all figured out. These fire signs may be brash and confident, but they can also be prone to insecurity, hiding their true feelings beneath a happy-go-lucky facade. After all, they can't have anyone knowing just how sensitive they really are! Their egos can be bruised easily, and they'll do just about whatever it takes to regain their pride and appear strong again. Their flair for the dramatic is yet another clue into their true emotions.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21)
Scorpio, yet another of the infamously emotional water signs, is deeply misunderstood. They're also highly sensitive and feelings-driven, though if you're not super close to one, you'd never know it. That's because Scorpios tend to bottle up their feelings and rarely let on what they're truly thinking or feeling, lending them their mysterious reputation. At the same time, because these feelings go unexpressed, they can fester and grow, leading to outbursts of emotion when you expect it least. Unless they have a good outlet or support group, they can develop mean tempers.
Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20)
And finally, the third and final water sign of the zodiac, Pisces, also earns a spot on this list. Their emotions can manifest slightly differently, distracting themselves from the challenges of their everyday emotional struggles by turning to escapism and daydreaming. You'll often find them lost in thought or caught up in their own imagined worlds. They can also be emotional sponges, catching onto what others are feelings by empathetic osmosis. They'll be the first to cry at any sad movie (or commercial), so it's no wonder they need a mental break from it all every once in a while.
