5 OG YouTubers You Should Watch When You’re Feeling Nostalgic
Since TikTok blew up in 2019, it seems like YouTube forever changed. People abandoned the desire for 15-minute videos in favor of 15-second videos, and most creators moved with the new trend.
We have a soft spot in our hearts for YouTube and sometimes wish it was still the predominant platform for content creation. If you also got bit by the nostalgia bug, revisit your love of the '00s and '10s internet by watching videos from these OG YouTubers.
Anthony Padilla
Not many YouTubers are thriving on the site, but Anthony Padilla is better than ever. Instead of his usual comedy skits, he's moved into long-form interviews. You might have seen his "Spend a Day in the Life With" series or deep-dive video essays on niche internet memes.
Oh! But if you are craving a laugh, he still makes videos with his longtime friend Ian Hecox at Smosh, including the thousands of videos they made nearly 20 years ago.
AndreasChoice
Before we had Alix Earle or Mikayla Nogueira, we had YouTubers like AndreasChoice. She used to create all things beauty, from curly hair maintenance routines to DIY tops and makeup tutorials. Sadly, she hasn't uploaded since 2018, but her old videos are a blast from the past. While you wait patiently for her return, you can find her on Instagram.

Connor Franta
Was anyone else obsessed with Our2ndLife (O2L)? They were one of the first content houses, including Ricky Dillon, Trevi Moran and more. Undoubtedly, our favorite member was Connor Franta, and we can vividly remember how heartbroken we were when he left the group. Today, he still makes the cozy content we love, but we also like to look back at his gorgeous photography.
Grav3yardGirl
Grav3yardgirl was our childhoods. We would tune into a "Does This Thing Really Work?" video every week. She also birthed our love of antiques and horror-themed objects. Like the others on this list, she's still going strong on YouTube but is also active on Snapchat, Instagram and more.
Jenna Marbles
Jenna Marbles was the best gift to the internet. She did it all—vlogging, beauty and, most importantly, her comedy. She had the talent to be funny without being offensive. Sadly, Jenna left social media three years ago, but all her videos are still live, and her husband, Julien, occasionally updates his viewers about her.
