The Snake That Slithered Its Way Into NYC's Heart

When news broke that over the weekend the Bronx Zoo's resident Eqyptian cobra had escaped, zoo keeper's and patrons alike were in a flurry trying to find the rowdy reptile, but what they didn't realize is that he had already found a home on Twitter. Yes- you heard right, Monday afternoon this sneaky snake slithered its' way onto the twit-o-sphere and it has been tweeting its supposed adventures under the assumed name of @BronxZoosCobra. At about 2p.m. the cobra sent out it's first of many tweets:

"I want to thank those animals from the movie 'Madagascar,' they were a real inspiration."

This wasn't the only silly anecdote our poisonous pal decided to share.

"Holding very still in the snake exhibit at the Museum of Natural History. This is gonna be hilarious!"

With over 30 thousand followers and a sufficient Twitter presence the snake decided to come clean about  his intentions of being social media savvy.

"I just want Justin Bieber to follow me."
