5 Songs That Deserved a Permanent Spot on The Eras Tour Setlist
With a 46-song setlist, you would think an artist has carefully curated the tracks to fit everyone's needs, but if you have more than 200 songs in your catalog, like Taylor Swift, it's almost impossible to find something to appeal to all the masses. And yet, for The Eras Tour, the pop icon got pretty close, playing three hours of her greatest hits and then some.
Don't get us wrong—we loved the show she put on. But still, there are tracks wished had a permanent space at the concert alongside "Shake It Off" and "Cruel Summer." Below, discover the music we would've loved to hear every night.
'You're on Your Own, Kid'
"You're on Your Own, Kid" might have been one of the most popular tracks from her Surprise Song acoustic set, and we're jealous of anyone who heard it live. After all, it contains the lyrics that spurred the popular association between Swifties and friendship bracelets: "So, make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it." It would only be right to pay homage to its impact during every performance.
'Long Live'
Sadly, if you, like us, went to one of the first shows on The Eras Tour, you didn't hear "Long Live" during the Speak Now segment. This track remained on the setlist from July 2023 to May 2024. With how slim the Speak Now act—or, really, the "Enchanted" act—is, we crave more content for the album, considering its The Eras Tour.

'Teardrops on My Guitar'
If you thought Taylor neglected Speak Now, remember that there was no permanent song from her self-titled debut album on her permanent setlist. In our eyes, at least one song from her first LP should have been included, perhaps a hit like "Teardrops on My Guitar?" We guess it's not so bad, since she played a few tracks during Surprise Song O'Clock.
'tolerate it'
Since folklore and evermore are two of our top Taylor albums, we were sad to see them condensed to make way for The Tortured Poets Department. In the folkmore sect, we said goodbye to her heart-wrenching B-side, "tolerate it." It's always fun to see actor Taylor come out, and this song was one of the few where we saw the theatrics shine as she argued with her hypothetical lover from across the dinner table.
Anything From the Vault
At this point, we know The Eras Tour is missing, well, eras. It's not just the tracks from Taylor's past but also her present (and future?). No tracks from her Taylor's Version re-recordings made it onto the permanent setlist—except the 10-minute version of "All Too Well." But we mean the completely new songs, like "Mr. Perfectly Fine," "I Bet You Think About Me" and "Now That We Don't Talk," that still made waves of their own after their premiere.
