5 Reasons Why Flip-Flops Are the Best Shoe Choice
Today is officially the first day of summer, so we have totally broken out our warm weather fashion, and that starts with our choice in footwear.
Obviously, it's flip-flop season. And we're excited because they're the best. Below, discover five reasons why you can't go wrong with an open-toed shoe.
You Feel Free
Close-toed shoes make us feel claustrophobic. We can feel the walls closing in on our feet. We can barely move our toes to feel more comfortable. With flip-flops, you roam freely. If you need to stretch your feet, you can. There is no wall of fabric crushing you into a ball.

They're Easy to Take On and Off
Yeah, yeah. We obviously know how to tie our shoes, but we're lazy. It's already a lot of work to put them on, and lacing them is the soiled icing on the rotten cake. There is no thought put into wearing flip-flops. Simply slide your feet into (or out of) them, and you're ready to go.

They're Super Comfortable
Once upon a time, flip-flops were one of the least supportive shoe choices. Today, there are plenty of options to fit your foot needs. For example, you can find ones with arch support. Others also offer memory foam to feel like clouds as you journey through life.
And let's be real. Not all sneakers are comfortable anyway.
They're Simple to Clean
If you soil your sneakers, you might as well give up. Because of the cracks and crevices, you may never be able to fully clean them, and because of the exterior fabric, a stain may last forever. Flip-flops, on the other hand, often can be cleaned with a simple wipe, and you don't have to worry about sand getting stuck in them at the beach.

They're Hygienic!
There's no shame in it. Feet sweat. Some people's sweat may create more odors than others. But eventually, you will notice a smell build up in a closed-toed shoe. Since your feet are open in flip-flops, you have the circulation to keep things dry. Thus, preventing odor and stains.
