5 Fun Things to Do During Coachella's Postponed Weekends

Now that Coachella has officially been postponed till October, it's time to cue the dramatics.

COVID-19 is ruining things for us yet again, as the folks over at Goldenvoice just announced the devastating news.  If you're as bummed as we are about the postponement of our fave dance in the desert, you're probably wondering how to have fun during one of the two weekends (April 10 – 12 and April 17 -19).

Keep reading for five fun things to do during the weekends of what were supposed to be Coachella:

1. Still Go to the Desert

If you already have a hotel or Airbnb booked, you might not be able to get your money back. We recommend getting your money's worth and still heading to the desert. While Coachella won't be happening, you can still hang by the pool, go shopping and hit up some yummy restaurants.

2. Plan a Wellness Weekend

Gather your besties and invite them to a wellness weekend. You can do this at your house, or if you feel like getting crazy, at an Airbnb! All you need are face masks, workout clothes, yoga mats, green drinks, inspirational books and a group of ladies looking to channel their inner zen.

3. Visit the Flower Fields

If you're lucky enough to live near a field full of flowers, schedule the getaway! Most flower fields require an admittance fee, but it shouldn't be more than $25. And TBH, it's totally worth it. Imagine endless fields of blooming florals as far as the eye can see. Plus, we're willing to bet you'll get some great content for your IG.

4. Have a Movie Marathon

We know, having a movie marathon doesn't sound nearly as exciting as being at a music festival, but hear us out! Whether you opt for a series of rom-coms, the Harry Potter series or anything in between, we bet you'll have a blast if you watch them with your BFFs. We suggest creating a fun atmosphere with lots of blankets, pillows, snacks and maybe even a projector (like this)!

5. Plan a Brunch

Who doesn't love an impressive brunch spread? Invite your squad over for the ultimate brunch, potluck style. We suggest creating a Google doc with all the items you want people to bring, and they can sign their name next to whatever they choose! If you feel like going all out, you can even have a theme or a dress code (like PJs!).
