2020 has been an unusual year full of unpredictability and change, so it makes sense that—like everything else—your TV schedule might not be as dependable as it's been in the past. 1. CANCELED – Almost Family

While we were captivated by every minute of the drama unfolding on Fox's Almost Family, it seems the show simply wasn't destined to make it past a single season. The show centered around three young women—including two long-time friends, plus a retired Olympic athlete—who discover they're half-sisters fathered by the same fertility doctor. Unfortunately, none of us will get to know precisely what happens next in the story.

2. RENEWED – American Housewife

Audiences adore ABC's American Housewife, and we think it's no surprise that the beloved sitcom has been renewed for a fifth season. The show centers around Katie Otto, a mom who sees a major shift in her life when her family moves into a wealthy town full of pompous and pretentious families with bratty kids. We particularly love Meg Donnelly and Daniel DiMaggio as her two oldest children, who are more than happy to show their neighbors a thing or two.

3. RENEWED – American Idol

Few competition series have ignited the nation more than American Idol since its very first season in 2002—and even though the series went away for a little while, it never truly left people's hearts. The series revival was renewed for a fourth season this year—or its 19th, depending on how you're counting—and though we don't yet know if Ryan Seacrest will be returning to host, or who will be on the judge's panel, we can't wait.

4. RENEWED – The Bachelor

Does any show do reality TV dating better than The Bachelor? So far, each and every season has been dripping with juicy drama and moments you simply couldn't write. It leaves fans speculating wildly, as well as clamoring for more, every time. The show has been renewed for a 25th season and will feature Matt James as its first Black bachelor.

THE BACHELOR - "Episode 2301" - What does a pageant star who calls herself the "hot-mess express," a confident Nigerian beauty with a loud-and-proud personality,; a deceptively bubbly spitfire who is hiding a dark family secret, a California beach blonde who has a secret that ironically may make her the Bachelors perfect match, and a lovable phlebotomist all have in common? Theyre all on the hunt for love with Colton Underwood when the 23rd edition of ABCs hit romance reality series "The Bachelor" premieres with a live, three-hour special on MONDAY, JAN. 7 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network. FRONT: NICOLE. CAITLIN, ANGELIQUE, KATIE, CASSIE, COLTON UNDERWOOD, COURTNEY, KIRPA, ALEX D.TAHZJUAN, DEMI MIDDLE: HANNAH G, REVIAN, JANE, ONYEKA, TRACY, NINA, ELYSE, LAURA, ERIN, TAYSHIA, CAELYNN REAR: BRIANNA, DEVIN, HANNAH B, ANNIE, ERIKA, SYDNEY, HEATHER, ALEX B,

5. CANCELED – The Baker and the Beauty

The Baker and the Beauty was exactly the type of romance story we'd been waiting for, and we're heartbroken to see that it won't be continuing into a second season after its untimely cancelation. It featured a working-class baker named Daniel who enters an unlikely romance with world-famous supermodel Noa Hamilton, and it was ridiculously sweet. This is one we'd love to see picked up by another network.

6. RENEWED – Batwoman

The CW's Batwoman series is in for a big shakeup after its first season. Until now, the show followed Kate Kane, who rose to the occasion to fight for justice in Gotham by becoming Batwoman. However, actress Ruby Rose announced that she won't be returning for the show's second season, making way for someone else to take over. Actress Javicia Leslie was just announced as her replacement, and we can't wait to see her in action.

7. CANCELED – BH90210

BH90210 was definitely an interesting spin on the Beverly Hills, 90210 formula, but that wasn't enough to keep it afloat for more than a single season. The show saw the return of the cast from the classic '90s series, only this time playing versions of themselves in a fictionalized version of their real lives, revolving around yet another in-show reboot of the original. We're a little sad to know we won't see where it was all headed.

8. RENEWED – Black-ish

Black-ish has been a huge hit for ABC, garnering huge ratings and spinning off not one, but two successful spin-offs, Grown-ish and Mixed-ish. We're not at all surprised to discover it's been renewed for a seventh season. The show explores the lives of an upper-middle-class Black family, the Johnsons, dealing with their interpersonal relationships as well as their place within society, and the show has been celebrated for its handling of race and LGBT+ issues.

9. RENEWED – Black Lightning

Superhero fans rejoice, because your favorite Marvel and DC shows aren't going anywhere this year, and that includes The CW's Black Lightning. Inspired by the DC comic book hero of the same name, Black Lightning follows Jefferson Pierce, a retired superhero who becomes a high school principal, only to take up the mantle again when a criminal gang called The 100 threatens to take over his city. It's been renewed for a third season, and we think this series is only getting started.

10. RENEWED – Bless the Harts

The newest addition to Fox's Animation Domination lineup is also one of its most beloved. The animated sitcom Bless the Harts, featuring huge comedic talents including Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph and Jillian Bell, follows a waitress and their family in a town in North Carolina. It's been picked up for a second season, meaning we'll all get another chance to see where Jenny Hart and her family are headed next very soon.

11. CANCELED – Bless This Mess

After two seasons on ABC, it appears that Bless This Mess won't be returning for a third. The show featured Lake Bell and Dax Shepard as a couple who leave New York to move into an inherited Nebraska farm, only to find that it's in shambles—and already inhabited by a strange old man. As they rebuilt the home, they also managed to find peace with, and even come to like the residents of the town. It's a shame we won't get to see the story develop even further.

12. RENEWED – Bob's Burgers

Bob's Burgers may be our favorite animated series on TV at the moment, and we're delighted that the rest of the world seems to love it as much as we do by its renewal with an 11th season. The show revolves around the Belcher family, both at the school the kids attend, and at the burger restaurant they help their parents run. It manages to blend workplace and family comedies into one hilarious sitcom, and socially awkward teenage daughter Tina will always be our favorite.

13. RENEWED – Brooklyn Nine-Nine

For seven years, Brooklyn Nine-Nine has seamlessly toed the line between police procedural show and laugh-out-loud comedy, and it seems it'll continue to do so for an eighth season on Fox. The award-winning show features an incredible ensemble cast starring  Andy Samberg, Chelsea Peretti, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews and more, whose fascinating camaraderie is one of the things that makes the show so adored.

14. CANCELED – Carol's Second Act

If you loved Carol's Second Act, we're very sorry to announce that it was canceled and has ended after a single season. The CBS show starred Patricia Heaton as a retired teacher who decides to go after her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor, starting with an internship at a hospital. Ironically, the show was refused a second act of its own.

15. RENEWED – Charmed

The WB's original Charmed series was a classic, and it's wonderful to see that fans are gushing over its 2018 reboot as well. It's centered around sisters Macy, Mel and Maggie, who are all good witches with unique powers, tasked with protecting the helpless from demonic forces, and it was just renewed for a third season on The CW.

16. RENEWED – DC's Legends of Tomorrow

Here's another superhero series that we're so excited to see return. DC's Legends of Tomorrow on The CW is a spin-off of fan-favorite characters from Arrow and The Flash, resulting in a massive team of super-powered crimefighters unlike anything else on TV. Their missions to protect the world get bigger and bigger every season with an ever-growing roster, and since it's been renewed for a sixth season, we believe that will be the grandest yet.

17. CANCELED – Emergence

Emergence on ABC definitely deserved more than the single season it received before it was unceremoniously canceled. The mystery series revolved around a bizarre accident and a strange girl with no memory and unique powers. The first season's finale in January posed just as many new questions and riddles as it answered, and unfortunately, the story will have to end there.

18. RENEWED – Family Guy

At this point, it seems like Family Guy has been around forever, and it doesn't seem like it'll be going away anytime soon. The animated sitcom on Fox has been renewed for a 19th season, promising even more cutaway gags, pop culture references and irreverent humor featuring Peter Griffin and the rest of his absurd family.

19. RENEWED – The Flash

The Flash has proved to be one of DC's most popular superheroes, so its renewal this year seemed like a given. The CW has renewed it for a seventh season. Grant Gustin has completely won our hearts as Barry Allen, who uses his super-human speed to protect the people of Central City as the hero the Flash. The plot's use of multiple timelines has bent our minds as well, making it one of the most binge-able superhero shows on TV.

20. CANCELED – God Friended Me

God Friended Me had a fascinating premise that we'd have loved to see beyond the two seasons the show got before being canceled. The show focused on a man named Miles who gets a Facebook friend request from an account claiming to be God. Over time, "God" sends him friend suggestions for people who'll need his help, and over time, he befriends and assists these people, all the while looking for the real face behind the mysterious Facebook profile. Though the series provided a somewhat open-ended answer, it would have been fantastic to find out more.

21. RENEWED – The Goldbergs

Audience's love ABC's The Goldbergs, so its renewal for an eighth season doesn't come as a surprise. Set in the '80s in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, the sitcom follows the life of Adam Goldberg, who captures his family's life with the aid of a video camera throughout the years. The show is loved for its warm, funny and heartfelt depiction of the '80s, and if it keeps it up, maybe we'll see it tackle the '90s in a couple of years, too.

22. RENEWED – Grey's Anatomy

Grey's Anatomy is yet another juggernaut of TV that's destined to stick around for a very long time, as it's just been renewed for an impressive 17th season. The medical drama is known for its high stakes, whether you're talking about the dramatic relationships between the surgeons or the actual life-and-death situations that take place at the hospital—and people simply can't get enough.

23. CANCELED – Katy Keene

After Riverdale became one of the most talked-about series on TV, The CW returned to the source material to see what other classic characters they could bring to the small screen. Unfortunately, Archie Comics' Katy Keene didn't inspire audiences in the same way. Starring Lucy Hale as the titular character, it was a musical, comedy and drama all in one, following the life of four musicians with a dream of making it big on Broadway. At least fans can check out the comics if they want to learn more.

24. RENEWED – Legacies

The Vampire Diaries was the gift that kept on giving, first spinning off into The Originals in 2013, which in turn spun off into Legacies in 2018. It seems that viewers can't get enough of this supernatural drama, and it's been renewed for a third season. The show follows Hope Mikaelson, a teenager with some incredible abilities, thanks to her bloodline descended from vampires, werewolves and witches. She attends a special school among others with similar powers, so there's never a dull moment in Hope's life.

25. RENEWED – Lego Masters

The first-ever season of Lego Masters this year was an utter delight, and we're thrilled to see that it's received the second season renewal it deserved. Hosted by Will Arnett (who flawlessly voices Lego Batman in the Lego movies), the show pits incredibly talented Lego enthusiasts against each other to build the most impressive Lego monuments possible, testing their technical ability as well as their creativity.

26. RENEWED – The Masked Singer

The Masked Singer has such a bizarre, novel premise that of course it's been a smash hit. In the show, celebrities don elaborate costumes that completely conceal their identities, and a celebrity panel attempts to guess who they are based on their singing of cover songs. The Masked Singer somehow never ceases to surprise, which is likely the reason it's been renewed for a fourth season.

27. RENEWED – Mixed-ish

Rainbow is one of our very favorite characters on Black-ish, and we've loved seeing her background unfold in its spinoff, Mixed-ish.  It turns out we're not alone, because it's been renewed for a second season on ABC. Unlike the very modern Black-ishMixed-ish takes places in the '80s and reveals Rainbow's experiences growing up in a mixed-race family including the struggles they faced transitioning from a hippie commune to suburban life.

MIXED-ISH - In "mixed-ish," Rainbow Johnson recounts her experience growing up in a mixed-race family in the '80s and the constant dilemmas they had to face over whether to assimilate or stay true to themselves. Bow's parents Paul and Alicia decide to move from a hippie commune to the suburbs to better provide for their family. As her parents struggle with the challenges of their new life, Bow and her siblings navigate a mainstream school in which they're perceived as neither black nor white. This family's experiences illuminate the challenges of finding one's own identity when the rest of the world can't decide where you belong. 28. RENEWED – Nancy Drew

The Nancy Drew books are iconic, and it's wonderful to see that the latest attempt to bring her story to the small screen has gained some traction, with the show being renewed for a second season. This time around, Nancy is a bit more grown up, and after deciding to delay college, she becomes entwined in a murder mystery with four friends. We adore actress Kennedy McMann as this new CW Nancy Drew, and we look forward to seeing whatever comes next in the second season.

29. RENEWED – Riverdale

Does Riverdale even need an introduction at this point? This series has managed to take a 70-year-old comic book franchise and turn it into one of the most discussed and debated shows of recent years. Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica are all household names at this point, with the series getting wilder and twistier with every passing episode. It's been renewed for a fifth season on the CW, which will undoubtedly be the most jaw-dropping yet.

30. RENEWED – Roswell, New Mexico

Our TV screens need more sci-fi series, and we are so glad that The CW's Roswell, New Mexico has been renewed for a third season. Like the 1999 series Roswell that came before it, Roswell, New Mexico is based on the Roswell High YA book series by Melinda Metz. This time around, the show centers around Liz, a daughter of undocumented immigrants, who finds out her high school crush was an alien, and gets involved in a government conspiracy when she tries to protect him.

31. CANCELED – Schooled

We're not surprised that the success of ABC's The Goldbergs inspired the network to create a spinoff, but it seems that Schooled simply couldn't live up to the magic of the original series. The show starred AJ Michalka's character, Lainey Lewis, but jumped ahead a decade to take place in the '90s. It was canceled after just two seasons, with the final episode airing in May.

32. RENEWED – The Simpsons

At this point, we're starting to think The Simpsons will continue until the end of time. The classic animated comedy has been on the air since 1989, and after being renewed not one, but two additional seasons last year, it's clear it's not going anywhere any time soon. Later this year, it will begin its 32nd season, and we look forward to seeing what Homer and the rest will be getting themselves into this time.

33. CANCELED – Single Parents

Single Parents was another ABC sitcom that simply couldn't make it past two seasons. The show starred Taran Killam and Leighton Meester as single parents working to balance their lives as moms and dads and as individuals, and was full of both heart and humor. After the second season wrapped up in May, however, the show was canceled.

34. RENEWED – Stargirl

Superheroes have seriously been taking over our TV screens in past years, and we couldn't be happier about it. The CW's Stargirl is one of the newest additions, and seeing as it's also one of our favorites, we're pleased to see it's been renewed for a second season. The show follows a teenager named Courtney Whitmore who discovers her dad was the superhero Starman, and that it might be her duty to protect her town as the superpowered Stargirl.

35. RENEWED – Supergirl

Melissa Benoist absolutely shines as Kara Danvers, aka Supergirl, in The CW's Supergirl series, and we've loved seeing her become one of the most popular heroes on television. With the show renewed for a sixth season, it seems we're not the only ones feeling inspired. As Kara and her friends have faced bigger and bigger threats each season (and crossed over with other DC/CW hits) we've adored it even more, and we're eager to see what's in store.

36. RENEWED – Superstore

Who knew that big-box stores could be such a goldmine for comedy? NBC's Superstore is a sitcom focusing on the employees at a superstore called Cloud 9, making for one of the best ensemble comedies on TV in recent years, and it's recently been renewed for a sixth season. America Ferrera's beloved character, Amy Sosa, is said to be leaving during season six, and though we'll be sad to see her go, we're also curious to see it continue without her.

37. RENEWED – Survivor

Survivor was the reality TV series that kicked off the craze we're still seeing today. The formula of putting people on deserted islands and having them participate in challenges for survival never grows stale—it's no surprise it's still on the air after 20 years. After the 40th season aired earlier this year, it was renewed for a 41st and 42nd season, though production schedules for both of those seasons have been delayed.

38. RENEWED – This Is Us

If there's a family show that's captivated audiences more than This Is Us over recent years, we haven't heard of it. NBC's comedy-drama seems designed specifically to pull on the heartstrings and make us deeply invested in every character onscreen, making its sad moments all the more heartbreaking. Set over various time periods, the show tells the story of the Pearson family and masterfully weaves back and forth in time to full effect. It's been renewed for a sixth season, and we have our tissues ready.

39. RENEWED – The Voice

Year after year, The Voice introduces us to incredible new artists we adore, so we are overjoyed to hear that it's been renewed for a 19th season on NBC. We've always loved at the start of each season of the singing competition, it is all about the voice, and that judges pick contestants for their teams without their appearance getting in the way. We have The Voice to thank for Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery, Jordan Smith and more, and we look forward to adding more great talents to our playlists.

40. RENEWED – Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist is unlike anything else we've seen on TV, and for that alone, it very much deserves its recent renewal for a second season. The show centers around a woman named Zoey who discovers she can hear people's deepest, most secret thoughts in the form of music, making the show a musical spectacular that's as funny and dramatic as it is surprising.
