Our #WCW Is the Amazing and 'Legendary' Singer Daya

We fell in love with Daya the minute we heard her first single "Hide Away" on the radio.

So if her new single "Sit Still, Stay Pretty" is any indication of how her full-length album will be, then we absolutely can't wait for all the girl power she's about to dish out.

Her voice is insane and she writes amazing music, but those are only a few reasons why she's our #WCW this week. Keep reading to find out why she's even more rad than you thought:

Full Name: Grace Martine Tandon

Hometown: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Birthday: October 24, 1998

Zodiac Sign: Scorpio

Tour Must-Have: Tea with honey

Fun Facts:

1. Her middle school orchestra performed an arrangement of "Hide Away" and it is super awesome:

2.  "Sit Still, Look Pretty" is all about empowerment and letting us know we can do anything we want in life. As if we needed another reason to be obsessed with her!

3. She is a gal of many talents. She started playing piano at age three then learned to play the guitar, ukulele, saxophone and flute.  We don't think it's possible for this girl to get any cooler.

4. One time, she performed at the White House on Easter. Michelle Obama even complimented her outfit. Just casual, every day occurrences right? We're not jealous or anything.

5. Her grandfather was of Indian descent, giving her inspiration for her stage name "Daya." The word means "Grace" in their native language, and we love it!

6. Shawn Mendes posted a super soulful cover of the song she did with TCS, "Don't Let Me Down," on his Instagram account. Shawn obviously hearts her just as much as we do.
