"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" Gets A New Sound

Taylor Swift's hard rock version of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" turned some heads earlier this week when she performed it live in Tokyo. The song has a totally different feel backed by pounding drums and electric guitar!

But it's not the first time we've heard WANEGBT with a twist. Check out 7  unique versions of the hit below.

MattyBRaps gets angry in his rap version of the track all about a playdate gone wrong. Our favorite lyric? "You go talk to your mom, talk to my mom, talk to me."

This cover by MACO is almost entirely in Japanese. We have no idea if the translation is at all accurate, but it's really pretty.

No one does a cappella better than Pentatonix, and this cover is no exception. It's even more impressive that the video looks super spontaneous and unpolished. We could never do it this in one take!

Boyce Avenue and Hannah Trigwell's cover takes the song to a WAY darker place than the lighthearted original. It's a gorgeous downer you should listen to at least once.

Chester See and Taryn Southern turn the track into a duet, where an argument erupts onscreen. Warning: the ending gets heated!

Anthem Lights puts their own acoustic spin on the track with tight harmonies you'll want to hear again and again.

Who knew "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" could be so soulful? Fifth Harmony takes it to a different level entirely.
