Zombie Skittles Will Have a Surprise Flavor Sure to Scare Your Taste Buds

Even the bravest candy lovers among us might not be bold enough to try the new Skittles flavor Mars Wrigley is cooking up for us.

The confectionery is already thinking ahead to Halloween 2019, and it has announced a new variety. Zombie Skittles will be released next fall, and they sound … interesting.

Mixed in among five fruity flavors will be a very gross-sounding one: Hidden Rotten Zombie.

Mars Wrigley didn't give us much to go on in terms of what Hidden Rotten Zombie flavor tastes like, but we can't imagine it's anything good. That will be part of the fun of eating Skittles Zombie packs, though—the hidden flavor will keep you on your toes. And just think of the prank potential.

The fruity flavors are Halloween-inspired, at least in name. Skittles calls them Petrifying Citrus Punch, Mummified Melon, Boogeyman Blackberry, Chilling Black Cherry and Blood Red Berry. Their deliciousness will hopefully make up for any Hidden Rotten Zombie-flavored Skittles you happen to eat.

If you're too afraid to eat them now, don't worry: You have a whole year to shore up your courage.
