Taylor Swift’s fifth studio album, 1989, released at midnight and didn’t take long to jump to the #1 album spot on iTunes! This new album, full off darker, more sophisticated tracks, might just be her best album yet!

The 13-track album features the hit single “Shake It Off” and a number of incredible collaborations, such as “Welcome to New York” with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, “Out of the Woods” with fun’s Jack Antonoff, and “Clean” with Imogen Heap.

The album quickly rocketed to the #1 spot, and each one its 13 tracks is currently charting on iTunes top 100 list. This feat took just 5 hours!

Might 1989 be the first album of 2014 to go platinum? Only time will tell!
