And there is more! It’s the first in a trilogy about a curious girl named Karou and the angel she’s fallen in love with. Their romance is a roller coaster of a journey with magic, mystery and several gasp-out-loud twists that will rip your heart out (in the most romantic way possible).

2. The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson

After Lennie’s sister dies suddenly, she finds herself in the center of an awkward and totally unexpected love triangle. She takes an interest in Joe, the new guy at school, who inserts himself into her life and shares a talent for music Lennie is reluctant to explore. As Joe and Lennie grow closer, her sister’s boyfriend, Toby, shares her grief. Feeling a new and powerful pull to be near one another, Lennie and Toby are swept up in a scary passion neither of them ever expected. The Sky is Everywhere is a wonderful story and a great Valentine’s Day read.

3. Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion

You might not think of zombies when you hear the word “romance”, but Warm Bodies might just change that. Told from the point of view of a zombie simply called R, Warm Bodies is a hilarious and fun novel with strong references to Romeo and Juliet. After R meets a living girl, aptly named Julie, R does the unthinkable. He doesn’t eat her. Instead, R saves Julie and starts a whirlwind of events neither of them expected. R doesn’t want to be dead anymore, and it’s up to Julie to change that. No time to read? No problem! Curl up with the movie instead. You’ll love it.

4. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

Rarely does a novel paint as clear and dazzling a picture as The Night Circus. Amidst the magic and wonder of the circus, a fierce competition brews between two old, rival magicians. Each has chosen a student to compete in a fight to see who can out-magic the other. But the students, Celia and Marco, fall in love while impressing each other with exquisite magic and playful banter. Their love grows as the competition heats up, neither of them knowing when the competition will end, or what will happen when it does. The Night Circus is beyond beautiful with both a setting and characters that feel more real than imaginary.

5. Cinder by Marissa Meyer

We’ve got four words for you: “Cinderella retelling with cyborgs”. That’s all that really needs to be said about Cinder, but feel free to read on if you’re not convinced. Cinder is a cyborg who has survived a horrible accident she can’t remember. Seen as less than human and shunned by society, Cinder has never had hopes for being anything other than a mechanic. But things take a turn when she gets mixed up with Prince Kai, and Cinder soon becomes a key in the struggle between her people and the callous Lunar people who inhabit the moon. The first of the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder is exciting and romantic all at once.

6. Enchanted by Alethea Kontis

Fairy-tale lovers will absolutely adore Enchanted. Sunday Woodcutter loves to write stories. The only problem is they have a tendency to come true, which isn’t as glamorous as it sounds. One day, Sunday happens upon a frog who enjoys listening to her stories. As they develop a friendship that turns to love, Sunday soon discovers her new friend is a prince whom Sunday’s family blames for the death of her older brother. Enchanted is a sweet story with fun characters that are easy to love. It’s a fantastic, light read for the holiday.

7. Matched by Ally Condie

Set in a world where the Society rules all, Matched is a tale about questioning authority and listening to your instincts. When the Society matches Cassia to Xander at her Matching ceremony, Cassia is ready to dive right in to love. But, just for a second, another face flashes on the screen in front of her. This face belongs to Ky. Though the Society assures Cassia it was only an accidental glitch, Cassia can’t deny the pull she feels toward Ky or the feelings she has for him. Soon Cassia questions everything, including the Society, and is left with a choice that seems impossible.

8. The Selection by Kiera Cass

Unlike the girls around her, America has no interest in the Selection. She has no interest in the glamor or the money. She has no interest in being Selected by Prince Maxon to live the life others have only dreamed of. America wants to stay with her boyfriend, Aspen, even if belongs to a caste below hers. Reboot is a romance for the sci-fi lovers.out there. In a world where dead people come back to life stronger and faster than ever before, Wren is one of the deadliest. The longer a person is dead before being rebooted, the stronger they become, but this strength comes with a price. Wren’s humanity is nearly gone and she now does almost nothing but follow orders. 10. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Because no romantic list is complete without it, The Fault in Our Stars is a must for romance lovers. This tear-jerker has been a sensation since its release in 2012. Hazel’s terminal cancer, the center of her life for years, is about to take a back seat when she meets Augustus, a boy with a fake leg and a passion for life. Augustus is the perfect love interest for girls everywhere to swoon over. The Fault in Our Stars is romantic and funny and sad all at the same time. Be sure to watch the movie when you’re done reading. Or watch the movie then read the book. Either way, make sure you have a bunch of tissues ready.
