35 Poetic Quotes From Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein to Use as Photo Captions
Visionary director Guillermo Del Toro's 2025 adaptation of Frankenstein arrived on Netflix on Friday, Nov. 7, and we haven't stopped thinking about it since.
The beautifully haunting new rendition of Mary Shelley's 1818 classic is equal parts gorgeous and gory, telling the tale of scientist Victor Frankenstein's single-minded quest to beat death. Though Victor succeeds, he's dissatisfied with his creation, shedding all responsibility for this new life and rejecting a powerful but naive being who craves only love and companionship. It's Victor—not the creature—who leaves a trail of death and destruction in his wake. The film is also full of quotes that are bound to rattle around in your head, and we've shared some of our favorites below.
