Cole Sprouse Takes Aim at Brother Dylan in Adorable Throwback Photo

Cole and Dylan Sprouse are incredibly close, so that means they poke fun at each other every now and then.

Case in point: Cole shared an adorable throwback photo with his twin brother from their Big Daddy/Friends days (yes, the Sprouse twins played Ross's son, Ben, on the sitcom) via his Instagram story on Friday, August 3, and Cole couldn't help but take a playful dig at his sibling.

In the snapshot below, the young brothers are seen posing on a red carpet and cheesing for the cameras, but that's not all. On this particular #TBT, Cole wrote: "Back when Dylan used to smile in photos," taking a shot at his twin for his more serious demeanor these days.

Though Cole delights us every week as Jughead Jones on The CW's Riverdale, Dylan took a six-year break from acting to focus on some of his other "serious" interests, and is only just starting to dabble in it again with a handful of movie and short film roles.

During his time away from the spotlight, Dylan majored in video game design at New York University and has since opened a mead brewery in Brooklyn after discovering the hobby in college. "I love acting as a passion. It's something that is really fulfilling to me. But the core of it, which is one of its most difficult aspects, is that it's commission-based," he told IndieWire in 2017. "Coming out of school, having remembered that in my younger life those dead periods were very tough, I decided I'm going to invest my money into a business and open up my brewery so that I don't have any of those worries."

While you could argue that Dylan is the more "serious" twin, we're betting he wasn't bothered by Cole's joke, especially since the siblings take good-natured swipes at each other every now and then.

For example, in 2016 Cole sent out birthday wishes to his "twin" Barack Obama instead of Dylan, and the following year Dylan joked with his brother about doing the bulk of the work on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. In other words, it's all in good fun.
